All items sold by the Catalina brand have a 2 year warranty against any manufacturing defects. When the customer receives the order, they must carefully check it. If the product ordered has a manufacturing defect, the customer must inform the brand via email at info@catalinajewelry.pt and describe the defect, identifying the product ordered and attaching the purchase invoice.  
The warranty doesn`t apply in the following cases: 
- Normal wear and tear of the pieces over time (exemple: oxidation and the plating starting to disappear/fade); 
- Discoloration of the piece purchased by the customer due to sun exposure, humidity or contact of the piece with water;  
- Discoloration of the piece due to exposure to chemical products, makeup, perfumes or due to sweat; 
- Signs of use (exemple: scratches);  
- Damage/defects caused by improper, abusive or negligent use; 
- Loss of stones, springs, clasps or other elements that are part of the piece; 
- If the piece has been repaired or altered by an external entity other than Catalina. 

 

The customer must take care of, clean and maintain the product properly. The brand isn`t responsible if this doesn`t happen and the item is damaged. The loss or theft of the purchased item is also not included in the warranty.  
The customer must send the item by CTT or via a courier. After the brand receives the item, it will be analyzed and, if the defect is proven within the scope of the warranty, the item will be repaired or replaced, at no additional cost. If the repair of the item isn`t covered by the warranty, the customer will be contacted by email to find out whether they would like the item to be repaired, with the repair and shipping costs being borne by the customer.  
Jewelry items can preserve their beauty for years, but for this to happen they must be treated with care and special care must be taken, which can be found in the jewelry care guide section.
